My Da Vinci Code

If you're new here, today's is a Where in the World Wednesday hosted by Classy in Philadelphia. The point is for you to share a picture of yourself somewhere in the world. It doesn't have to be foreign or tropical, just somewhere that you consider traveling. Today I'm taking everyone to...
Me in front of the Mona Lisa
The Louvre in Paris, France
These were taking on my study abroad trip in Summer 2005. We spent three weeks in class in Avignon, and at the end of the trip most of us traveled to Paris to spent a few extra days before flying back to the States. On my last day there I made sure we all went to the Louvre. This was technically my second time there, the first when I was just a year old. Which really means this is the only time that counts. I was so excited to be there and took tons of pictures of all the different artworks and sculptress. I've posted just a few of my favorites below.
Winged Victory closer up

Avignon 358
Egyptian Sarcophagi
The Crowning of Josephine

And one last picture of myself posing with one of the pyramids outside.

  1. I think I'm the only person to go to Paris and not enjoy it. However, I wish I would have had more time inside the Louve! There's just so much to see in there!

  2. LOL I love the first picture!!!

And I have to say - the first time I went to Paris I didn't enjoy it either. But then the next time, we just clicked :) I think it really depends who you go with, what you do and just the general feel!

  3. Wooo, The Louvre! I didn't enjoy Paris much either, but the Louvre was cool. I was sick though so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Blah, Paris food poisoning

  4. I have almost the exact same photo in front of Mona Lisa too!

Our first two days in Paris we kind of hated it - our second two days were AMAZING though! We'd mastered the Metro system, were kind of familiar with the different areas and something just clicked! We definitely want to go back to Paris now!
