Nobody Better Lay a Finger

Almost exactly one year ago I pinned Butterfinger cookies from Melissa at Little Miss Married, who had pinned them from Sally's Baking Addiction. Now finally, one year later I'm finally getting around to making them.

I tried to change them up a little by switching out some of the butter for peanut butter to get them an extra kick. And I'm convinced it would have worked perfectly, if I added 2 tablespoons as intending. Instead I wasn't paying attention to my measuring spoon and added 2 half tablespoons for a total of 1 full tablespoon. It made the cookies a little crumbly when warm, and more crunchy than chewy once cooled. But the flavor was still delicious. Now I just need to remake them, and pay a little more attention!

(This was actually my first time using my baking mats. So much fun, and so easy to use!)

I thought these were so delicious even with my mix-up, and now need someone to make them with the correct amount of peanut butter to see how they turn out.

When was the last time you made a baking mistake? Did they still manage to turn out?

  1. I usually add too much of something not too little. Sometimes it works out ok but usually not.
    Looks delicious!
