Mailbox Monday (8)

It's been months since I've had any review books to share. But today I'm linking up with Mailbox Monday, hosted by 5 Minutes for Books for the month of August, with not just 1, but 3 books for review.

For Review
Sulan by Camille Picott
This is a YA dystopian, and one of the reason I wanted to read it is because it's about a math prodigy. In fact because she's one she gets to live a protected life while most others are suffering. And while I wouldn't call myself a prodigy, I am math-y, so I'm hoping for at least one or two good math jokes. Along with, of course, a good dystopian story.

The Queen's Pleasure by Brandy Purdy
I read, and reviewed Purdy's last book, and wound up enjoying it. So I was really excited when she reached out again sending me a copy of her newest. Funny enough my last said I wished I could have had Elizabeth's story continue, and from the looks of it, that's exactly what we have here.

Timeless Desire by Gwyn Cready
This is a time traveling, romance, historical fiction about who else, but a librarian. I'm already a few chapters into it and so far I'm enjoying myself.

Won
I also won this book in a giveaway from Blonde Undercover Blonde. It's ebook, which it's not in the picture, and it sounds like a great chick-lit beach read.

What did you find in your mailbox this week?

  4. Now I want to read Timeless Desire - it combines my favorite things - time travel and librarians.

No books have arrived in my mailbox lately, except on campus where I am receiving stuff I ordered through the library like "The Quintessence of Ibsenism." I'm looking forward to reading something fun again soon.
