Which you can see currently. In case you're curious, this is what my blog used to look like before now.
I actually didn't realize until I started this post, but this is officially complete. Since I've started this project I've read 101 books, and I'm sure I'll read a ton more before it's finished
15.
This one has actually been long completed. As for the favorite all of these restaurants, it would probably be Another Broken Egg Cafe which we've been back to twice since that initial visit.
This was my trip to Houston to see the Backstreet Boys which I did again recently, so this one, as well as the very next one, have actually been completed twice now.
45.
Technically the boy may have actually done this. But I was there supervising, so it counts in my book.
This one though, I did make on my own.
Another one where I may have mainly supervised.
And following a similar patter, this was on my own.
I completed this one this first chance I could, and decided not to do it again in 2014 to keep things calmer. But I actually kind of miss it, and am thinking of going again in 2015. Plus at that point I'll have a pretty cute subject to take pictures of each day.

This definitely happened thanks to the generosity of this boy. And while I can't say I'm an expect, overall I do feel like I know what I'm doing with it.
70.
I've actually hosted Passover a second time, for a total of 3 major holidays, so this has definitely been done.
85.
This was actually far harder than it needed to be since my application was lost the first time. But I can say I'm officially a member of a synagogue now.
97.
32. Visit 3 states (not counting Louisiana or California) (1, 2)
Since I'll be heading to Alabama in a few weeks for vacation, and that will officially be the third on the list.
74. Hang curtains throughout the house
Since I bought curtains for the last few rooms at Ikea. So now all I need it curtain rods to be done.
73. Clean out the "big closet"
This one better get done, since the "big closet" is always the future nursery, so there's a deadline here.
As for the goal that's furthest from completion...
11. Cut my to-read pile in half (from 72 to 38 books
Since I've instead over doubled my to-read pile to a total of 167 books!
Have you ever attempted a 101 in 1001 list? How close did you come to completing it?
I have not attempted a 101 in 1001 list but it definitely sounds motivating! You've checked some great things off your list!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I could think of 101 things. I had enough trouble for a 25 and a 30 list.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely took me a few days to do it. What I wound up doing that was really helpful was searching online for other 101 lists for ideas. Which I'm sure if why a lot of the lists you read have similar items. And so far it's been a lot of fun!
DeleteI love these lists but can never come up with enough things that are reasonable! I start out okay then all of the sudden I'm like oh I want to travel to Dubai and I want to swim in Venice and it becomes an impossible list! lol But I think you've done great so far!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to Dubai too! And I definitely have a few of those type goals on there. I'm pretty sure that there's no way I'm going to complete any of the other travel goals. But it was still fun to imagine it happening, and it would be pretty amazing if somehow it actually came together.
DeleteCongrats on knocking so many things off the list! Hope you like the shul!
ReplyDeleteI have not done a 101 in 1001 list. I tried a 41 Before 41 and that was hard enough. And I didn't even finish it. I am currently doing a Project 364 and maybe, once that's done, I'll try this. Or maybe I'll just make a really big list for my 45th birthday (in a little less than three years!).
ReplyDeleteI guarantee you that I won't finish this one either! But it was fun to come up with, and it is forcing me to do a few things I probably would have avoiding. So I'm definitely having fun with it, and could easily seem myself doing it again.
DeleteI am not going to complete mine in December. I've managed some impressive goals, like getting a tattoo and getting engaged (bonus for getting married already!), but too many of my goals were dependent on factors outside of my control. Oops.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have a lot of things on my lists that aren't quite in control either, especially all the traveling ones. But even though I don't necessarily see a lot of them happening in the next year, it would be AWESOME if they did!
DeleteI haven't done one of these project but it's awesome that you're doing one! You're making great progress.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Amazing how the halfway point sort of sneaks up on you, isn't it? That canvas of your wedding photo is gorgeous! I've done TWO 101 in 1,001 projects and just launched my third yesterday :) you could say I'm hooked. The closest I ever came to completing one was actually my first, when I crossed 69/101 off. Shooting for 100% this time, ever the optimist ha.
ReplyDeleteWow! You have been getting tons of stuff on your list!
