28 Weeks Bumpdate

28 Weeks
How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Size of the Baby: An eggplant

Maternity Clothes: Still pretty much the same here as it's been.

Nursery: No official progress on the nursery, but I have made progress on the registry, which I guess you could say is indirectly part of the nursery.

Stretch Marks: Still none!

Sleep: I'm still getting leg cramps if I stretch out the wrong way early in the morning. It's more of an annoyance than anything, but at least it hasn't happened in the middle of the night again.

Movement: Lots happening here.

Cravings: Nothing really I can think of. Although I did have a Pumpkin Spice Cream Frappuccino, which basically means a frap without any coffee, and that was pretty awesome.

Symptoms: Well, I didn't pass my first glucose test, which means I'll be taking a 3 hour one in the next week. Hopefully I don't wind up with gestational diabetes, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

What I Miss: Nothing really, although I imagine if I do have to cut back on desserts, that'll be what I really miss.

Looking Forward To: We're meeting with our Rabbi this weekend to talk through the bris/naming. The only one I've ever been to was my brother's which doesn't really count, so I'm looking forward to at least going over some of the logistical aspects of it.

  1. Getting so much closer! So exciting. Is it a boy or you covering the bases with the Rabbi?

    1. It's a surprise! But we definitely want to be prepared for a bris if that what has to happen. Although even if it's a girl, I'd probably still want to have some sort of naming ceremony at our house.

  2. Looking good! And that's amazing you don't have any stretch marks, lucky girl! Hopefully I'll be as lucky one day ;) And how fun, I didn't realize you were waiting to find out the gender! That's going to be a wonderful surprise :)

  4. Good luck with your next glucose test! My mom had gestational diabetes when she was pregnant with me and it was fine - and that was 29 years ago, so I'm sure that obstetric medicine has come a long way :)

  6. I have such fond memories of both of our kids' naming ceremonies. We didn't do an official bris with Sam though; (we just went to a local doctor's office.
