I tried to change them up a little by switching out some of the butter for peanut butter to get them an extra kick. And I'm convinced it would have worked perfectly, if I added 2 tablespoons as intending. Instead I wasn't paying attention to my measuring spoon and added 2 half tablespoons for a total of 1 full tablespoon. It made the cookies a little crumbly when warm, and more crunchy than chewy once cooled. But the flavor was still delicious. Now I just need to remake them, and pay a little more attention!

When was the last time you made a baking mistake? Did they still manage to turn out?
Peanut Butter Butterfinger Cookies
Ingredients
8 fun sized butterfingers
1 and 3/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 egg
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Roughly chop your butterfingers and set aside.
2. Combine your dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt, sugar) and again set aside.
3. Cream together the sugar and butter.
4. Mix in the peanut butter, followed by the egg.
5. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients set aside earlier with the wet.
6. Mix the butterfinger pieces in until distributed throughout.
7. Drop spoonfuls onto your baking mat and bake for 10-12 minutes and lightly browned. Remove and let cool.
I usually add too much of something not too little. Sometimes it works out ok but usually not.
