Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris
I'm back to reading the Sookie Stackhouse books! This book brings a clan of witches is Bonn Temps. Another one of Sookie's friends goes missing in this book (clearly she needs to start keeping better track of people). Also in this book Eric is dealing with a few problems of his own.
As which each book I've read, I like them more and more. In general the series has gotten better with each book, though I have to think at some point I'll be disappointed. I was glad to read that Alcide, the werewolf from the last novel, was back in this book. (I also read that Alcide will be coming to True Blood this season. I'm excited about that, even though I've never watched an episode. But eventually I do want to start watching it on dvd.) However, my favorite part of this book was the relationship between Sookie and Eric. I thought the way it ended was a little bittersweet, and I can't wait to see how what happens to their relationship now.
This was the 4th book in the series out of a current 9 books. Although I currently only have the first 6. I'm thinking that instead of reading the next two now, I might alternate with more of a chick-lit type book. That way I can draw the series out a little bit longer. I know I still have a lot more of them to read, but I'm not looking forward to them ending.

ReplyDeleteI love these books! I've read the whole series and just love it! I can't wait for the new one to come out in May.
ReplyDeleteIt must be so cool for you to read them and known that they're taking place close to where you live!! WHat I loved most about these books were how short they were ;)
