Mailbox Monday (55)

Mailbox Monday is a place for bloggers to gather to share the books they've picked up each week. It's currently tours to a new host each month, and for November we're linking up at I Totally Paused!.
Mailbox Monday
From Paperback Swap
The Founding by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles
I'm really excited for this book, but also a little apprehensive. It's the first in the Morland series, which currently spans 35 books, so I know I have a lot of reading ahead of me. It's a multi-general story, that starts in the 1400s in this book and goes through the 1930s in the most recent.

From Goodreads
The Heart of Everything That Is by Bob Drury and Tom Clavin
This is a biography of Red Cloud, the only American Indian to defeat the US Army in war. Until this book arrived, he's someone I'd never heard of, but I'm excited to learn more.

What did you find in your mailbox this week?

    1. From everything I've heard of the series I think you'd enjoy it too! But once I actually read it, I'll have a much better idea.

  3. Whoa - 35 books? That is crazy!! I have been on a book borrowing spree lately in preparation for my trip to Paris. Some of the books I have downloaded are The Perfume Collector, Let the Great World Spin, and Transatlantic. I also bought a new release called Gold Finch which is getting great reviews and a light-hearted mystery called Low Country Boil which my friend Nora recommended - I rarely buy books but those 2 were on sale and I had gift cards to use! :)

    1. I know! The first book was published in 1980 and the most recent one in 2013, but I'm not sure how many there will actually be. Or how long it'll take to read them all.

And I've heard great thing about The Perfume Collector and Gold Finch, so hopefully you enjoy them and they live up to their reviews!
