The Ward by Jordana Frankel
Doesn't this look like such an amazing book? Of course, I may be slightly biased since it was written my college roommate, who was one of my bridesmaids. But still, this is the exact type of book I'm always loving. I've been hearing about this book for so long (two plus years which makes sense when you think about how long it takes a book to be published), and I'm so excited this is finally out. And if I'm this excited, I can only imagine how she's feeling. In case you couldn't guess from the cover, this book takes place in a dystopian NYC, where there's a shortage of fresh water and people are living on top of buildings. While I haven't read it read, I know it's going to be amazing, so if you haven't picked up it yet, I highly recommend you do so!
What did you find in your mailbox this week? And have any of your close friends ever published a book?

Very cool to have book on your shelf written by a friend, especially a book you've heard about in progress.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is fantastic--I don't read much in this genre, but that cover would definitely make me pick it up and consider it.
