Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris
Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
It's been over two years since I last read a Sookie Stackhouse book. At that time I was worried that I was about to be completely caught up, but after waiting so long I still have several more to read before that happens. My dad actually started reading them, and sends them to me as he gets through them. Which is definitely a plus since it means we're both not going out spending our money on the same book. I'm excited to get back into Sookie's story, I'm just hoping I can remember where things were when I left off.
What's in your mailbox this week? And what's the longest break you've ever taken in between reading books from a series?
I haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse series (it seems kind of daunting to start at this point!) but I love that you and your dad are reading them together :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that your dad reads the Sookie books and passes them on to you! I'm one book behind and probably will just skip to the last book in the series. Can't wait to see how it ends. Hope you enjoy catching up with Sookie!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool about you and your dad swapping books. My mum and I do that - Dad, not so much :)
ReplyDeleteDitto what Sonia said :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books. I don't usually read series books, but if I do, I read one after the other. I guess the longest I've waited between books is five months. I started the "All Souls Trilogy" by Deborah Harkness in July and I'm waiting for the third book to be published.
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to love these books! I hope you enjoy catching up with Sookie!
ReplyDeleteMy son likes to read Sookie Stackhouse books.
ReplyDeleteI heard that that series is ending...check it out to be sure.
ENJOY your books.

Lovely that you can share books with your Dad. I being the Mom and Grandmother, share with my daughter and granddaughters. I had been reading the Benni Harper Mysteries by Earlene Fowler. There has been a break of about 3 years, I really must get back to them.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you and your Dad read the same books.
ReplyDeleteI just finished the first one and am excited to start a new series!
