In My Mailbox (30)

It's been a few weeks, so hopefully you all remember, but I'm participating in The Story Siren's In My Mailbox.
In My Mailbox
From Goodreads
Lonestar Angel Colleen Coble
This one is a romance novel I think with a religious spin, which is something I don't normally read. But the story, a kidnapped baby leading to a marriage on the rocks, seemed interesting, so I decided to give it a try.

Anathema by K.A. Tucker
As you can see the author sent me two bookmarks, both signed, and while you can see it, she signed the book as well. Both pluses in my opinion. As for the story it's a paranormal YA, that involves a curse and a dreamworld. I'm not completely sure how this one is going to go, but I'm definitely intrigued.

From My Mom
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
When I flew home for Thanksgiving I knew my mom was sick and in the hospital, but I still wasn't really expecting to attend her funeral. Taken by surprise I hadn't really planned on taking a lot back to Louisiana with me and didn't really have a lot of extra room in my suitcase, but I did grab this as I was leaving the house. I've been planning on reading the Outlander books for quite a while, so it's about time I picked the first up. I don't believe my mom actually ever read this, and while I'm curious as to when and where she picked this up, unfortunately I won't be able to ask her.

But moving on to a brighter note, what did you find in your mailbox this week?

  1. I have had Outlander on my shelf for a few years now... I really need to read it!

You always get books from Goodreads! You must enter a lot of giveaways? I should probably enter more.

  2. I hope you enjoy Outlander. That was one of the best book series I've ever read. I flew through the first 4 books and then got stuck on the fifth one and never finished it. But the first one, and actually the first 2, were amazing. I absolutely fell in love with characters in those books! I should really pick them up and re-read them.

  3. A girl I used to work with was raving about Diana Gabaldon! I think I was reading Philippa Gregory at the time and she was telling me about how great Gabaldon was as well! Will have to check it out one day!

    Happy reading! :)

  5. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I have Outlander sitting around here somewhere unread too. I wonder if that is a common thing.

  6. I won Outlander from Amber's book giveaway, I think a couple of years ago now? It was a good book! I never did read any of the other ones in the series, though, so I should check those out eventually!!

As I told Amber from Little Pink, I am on a book buying hiatus... I have 5 shelves of unread books, and I am once again out of bookshelf space, so I am not allowing myself to buy books for like 6 months. Unless I get bn gift cards for Christmas or my Bday... then maybe I will buy some! :) I have been using the library alot, though!
