Philly Me Up Times 2

Friday at work the girls and I ordered lunch from a new restaurant. Well, not necessarily a new restaurant, but new for us. Friday is normally the day we decide to order lunch in, somewhat of a celebration to get through the week. We ordered cheesesteak sandwiches from Philly Me Up. (And yes, I am a little in love with their ridiculously cute name.) I told the boy, and he got a little jealous since he's been craving a good cheesesteak lately. So the very next day the boy insisted we head to Philly Me Up to watch the LSU game. (And no, I will not be talking about the LSU. We lost. It wasn't a lot of fun.)

Both times I got the exact same thing, a small shroom cheesesteak, which is a cheesesteak with onions and mushrooms. I replaced the American cheese with mozzarella cheese, mainly because I wouldn't have eaten it with American.
Philly Cheesesteak
The cheesesteak was actually really good. Which was really needed considering I had one two days in a row. I'm not normally a fan of cheesesteaks because I don't like American cheese which is what most cheesesteaks use. But by being able to have mozzarella instead, while not very traditional, made it tasty for me.

I can't see I'm planning on having cheesesteak sandwiches two days in a row anytime again in the near future. But at least I know if I ever want a cheesesteak to philly me up again I know where to go!

  1. Mmmmmmm, I love, love, love philly's! I make them regularly at home and they are soooo good! Have you ever tried a chicken philly? They are good too. I wish we had that place here, something tells me I would eat there all the time. :)

  6. I don't like cheese so much but I have to say, that sandwich looks pretty amazing! how silly would it be for me to order a philly cheesesteak... hold the cheese? haha

(come to think of it, I actually did that at the air show I went to with my dad. my sandwich just had meat, peppers and onions. without the cheese holding it together, it was a bit messy, but it was still tasty! :)
