Fall has officially decided to make its way to Baton Rouge. It was in the high 80s and humid at the start of the week, and Friday it decided to drop 20 degrees or so. This is the first time since about April we haven't had the air conditioning on once in the past 48 hours. And without it is still quite cold in the apartment. Yesterday my Uggs made their first appearance of the season, and today I'm wearing the first sweater of the season.
Don't get me wrong, I do like fall and winter, but I'm not a big fan of being cold. I did enjoy living in Maryland for college and living with snow. But those four years were more than enough for me. My feeling is snow is fun to visit, not so much to live in. That's part of the reason I enjoy living in Louisiana, (and enjoyed living in California as well).
Although crazy enough it did snow last year!
It was the first time it snowed in about 20 years in Baton Rouge. I guess I can handle that. Anyone else just now feeling the effects of fall weather? Or have you been dealing with it for a while now?

I grew up with LOTS of snow, so winter/Christmas doesn't feel "real" to me without it!
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I could go for only 2 or 3 months of winter rather than the 5 or 6 that we get up here in Canada. At the same time, I HATE the heat, when it hit 40 (100F) this summer I was dying. I'd love to live somewhere that stayed between 10 and 25 C year-round!
I grew up with it so I absolutely LOVE winter/snow however it's snowing here right now and that's just a little too early for my tastes!
ReplyDeleteI grew up with it too so I can't imagine living somewhere without all four seasons distinctively! We have been feeling the Fall for awhile now. Today was one of the warmest days we've had in awhile at almost 60!
ReplyDeleteI've been dealing with it for awhile now! My uggs made their first appearance of the season earlier this week.
ReplyDeleteHere, it's been a bit over a week... I've been using my Uggs for sure, they're so nice and warm!!
ReplyDeleteSnow in BR last year... WOW! In TX we have a few days of great fall weather, then a few days of hot and humid weather. It's always changing.
