From there we walked over to Kilimanjaro Safaris. We were on the ride around 8:30, thirty minutes after park opening. Once finished we walked through the Gorilla Fall Exploration Trail, specifically so we could see the hippos there for my daughter. After that it was time for our Everest Lighingt Lane, so we we went to find the yeti. Afterwards we backtracked a bit to walk through the Maharaja Jungle Trek so my son could see the Tigers.
We decided to go to see Feathered Friends in Flight, which was just as fun as I had heard. While waiting for the show to start we mobile ordered Flame Tree Barbecue, so that was waiting to us once the show ended. I had the 1/2 Chicken (Marinated Slow-smoked Chicken served with Signature Baked Beans and Coleslaw), my husband the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, daughter the Pulled Pork Platter, and son the All-Beef Hot Dog. This was another meal that we all really enjoyed and were impressed with.
After lunch we went to watch Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond, I believe at the 11:30 show. We finished and had a bit of time before our next two Lightning Lanes (Dinosaur from 1:10-2:10 and Flight of Passage from 1:25-2:25.) We figured we'd kill a bit of time and let the kids run off some energy playing in The Boneyard. Except each time just before our lighting lane opened, the ride shut down. So instead of playing for 15-20 mintues or so, we were in there around an hour. (I did use this time to book our next Lightning Lane, this time at Epcot to ride Soarin' Around the World for a second time this trip.)
Finally around 2 or so, Flight of Passage opened back up. We walked there as quickly as we could, but the line was already out the entrance by the time we arrived. Thankfully it moved fairly quickly. Dinosaur was open by the time we got off, but we were ready to leave at that point and figured it was one we could skip. We did buy a churro on our way out of the park, and then took the bus over to Epcot. (I bought park hoppers for our entire trip, but this was the only time we used it. Looking back we really didn't need it, but I still think I'd do it again, just because you never know how things will go.)
From there we headed over to Soarin' for our last ride of the trip. As we were getting ready to ride we ran into one of Bear's friends from school. Since of course, sometime it feels like you can't go on a trip anywhere without running into someone you know from home.
Finally we headed over to France for our last dinner at Chefs de Fance. This was probably the meal I was most excited about, except it was probably the most disappointing of the trip. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as I expected, nor was it as good as most other meals we ate. I had the Boeuf Bourguignon with linguine (Braised beef in Cabernet, baby onions, carrots, pasta). The beef itself was good, but the pasta was plain pasta without enough juice to flavor it. The carrots were good, but there were no baby onions, which I really like. I'm pretty sure the boy had the same. I think Bear had their hamburger and Elley their grilled chicken. (The chicken was probably the best part of the meal.)
From there we headed back to the hotel. We flying home the next day, but since the flight wasn't till early evening still had time for a bit of fun for the morning. Till that final post, here's our Insta posts for the day!
